Elections
Each year AAFSA holds elections for its board positions. Terms are typically for 1 year, except for the office of Chair Elect which serves a 2nd year as Chair.
The 2008 AAFSA elections committee has declared any UCI faculty or staff member interested in the organization will be eligible to cast a vote (employees who are not students).
Votes are anonymous, but a copy of each ballot will be sent to both the voter and the elections committee as safeguards against voter fraud. More technical details about this voting system are available for any who may want to know more about how it works.
Candidates
This year there is a slate requiring individual candidate approval and an opportunity to cast write-in votes, especially for vacant positions.
