Name one thing you miss about being a kid.
One thing that I miss about being a kid is when I left Costco with my dad, and he gave me the receipt so they can mark it off, they would usually draw a huge happy face. Now they only draw a line. I miss those smiles.

What is your dream job?
My dream job in the very end, is to be able to film weddings for people. Why? Because to me, it would be nice to film a wedding in which there isn’t any acting; it is real. I love to see the families smile and enjoy the day together. It’s truly amazing.

How did you become involved in CKI?
I got involved because of my best friend Phillip Chow. Ronald, Phillip, and I have always wanted to be a part of a higher level of Kiwanis since KEY Club in high school. So Phillip was the first to venture into Circle K and told us how amazing it is. The service that we have to offer, the friendships that we build, and the leadership that we develop, it's unlike any club I have ever been in. Sure other clubs offer experiences, but none of them offer the awesome experience that Circle K does.

What is your favorite service project?
I love to venture into wilderness-like areas, so 2nd Sunday would have to be my favorite. You get to restore a natural habitat every second Sunday of the month, and it's a fun event in which you really get to bond with others, while hacking away at weeds or planting lovely plants. They always love to have all the people they can get, because there is always something productive to do, and you never do things alone. You get to work as a team and get to meet your fellows.

What's the best advice you ever received?
I do some research at school based on brain development modeling with my mentor and friend Professor Rui de Figueiredo. We spend countless hours working on gathering more and more data. There are times when I can be behind, and he starts grilling me for the amount of work that I still need to do, but at the end, he always tells me to enjoy life. Despite what’s going on, you should enjoy life and don’t waste time. Every time he tells me that, it motivates me to work harder, and efficiently. No matter what or how much you have on your plate, you should enjoy life. If it’s something that you don’t like, then maybe you should try something else. Enjoy it, and don't waste time.

If the world is going to end tomorrow what are 3 things you would do today?
Call my closest friends and get some lollicup with them; eat dinner with my family; and simply live my life as if tomorrow wouldn't end.
