We hope everyone had a great break and we look forward to a new quarter of helping and giving! We will be kicking off Winter quarter of HBI with several events. First, the success of our TV Taping event over break has convinced many of us to make it a tradition to attend one every quarter! Hence, we will be planning our next Taping event for Winter. Second, we will be holding another Cha Fundraiser which is going to be next Tuesday (Jan. 17) instead of our weekly meeting. Third, it’s that time again — membership dues (only $10) are due by next Tuesday (Jan.17) at our Cha for Tea meeting. Lastly, as many of you already know, we will be visiting the Orange County Rescue Mission this Thursday (Jan. 12) to determine if their volunteer program (about once a month) can be a good way for us to build relationships with the people who live there so our contributions can be more meaningful and our efforts more emotionally-driven. If you would like to attend this tour of the Rescue Mission with us, please contact Avo. If you have any other questions or comments, just leave them below and we will get back to you ASAP!

Inspirational Words____________________________________ “We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” ____________________________________ Mother Teresa of Calcutta
