The
Nursing
Science Student Association @ UCI was founded in 2007 by
students of the inaugural Nursing Science class. The club was created
to supplement
the new major and to help its students not
only to
utilize their resources to the fullest extent, but also to
connect with
each other and to participate in the community through
volunteering and
legislative activities as appropriate.
NSSA @ UCI is also a chapter of the California Nursing Students' Association (CNSA) as well as the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). Through the CNSA and NSNA, the club has access to national and statewide nursing conventions, RN Lobby Days, scholarships, volunteer and career opportunities, as well as awareness of the professional aspect of nursing (economic, social, political). We encourage members to join the NSNA to learn about nursing in a different perspective. A minimum amount of NSNA members in our UCI club is required in order to maintain our UCI chapter.
Please refer to our FAQ page for more
information about our club.
