National Cesar E. Chavez Blood Drive Challenge

We will be needing volunteers to help with the blood drive on Tuesday, April 6th from 10AM-4PM. Depending on how many people can help, each volunteer will be helping out for either one or two hours. Please contact Janelle at jmmirand@uci.edu if you are interested.

California Pizza Kitchen Fundraiser [print out flyer]
Support NSSA by... eating pizza! On Wednesday, April 21, NSSA will be having an All-Day fundraiser at the Irvine CPK on Michelson! We will also be planning a group reservation if you'd like to join us for a meal! However, feel free to drop in any time you'd like. You will need to print and present a flyer to the cashier to participate. Contact Jackie at jfarrale@uci.edu for more information. 20% of the proceeds go to NSSA, so please support us by eating some yummy food!

UCI Relay for Life
Come join NSSA in this exciting 24-hour fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, starting on April 24th at 12PM. You can run or walk around the park and even do specialized relays. And don't worry about being bored. There will be food, games, music, and live entertainment. And there will also be the Luminaria Ceremony that commemorates lost loved ones.To join our team in the fight against cancer, click here!

National Nurses Week on May 6-May 12
A week-long appreciation of nurses all over the country! National Nurses Week is celebrated every year from May 6 to May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale--the founder of modern nursing. NNW commemorates nurses' contributions to the safety of their patients in a broad spectrum of settings: the hospital, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home (to name a few)! Take this time to appreciate the art and science of nursing--a career dedicated to the profound principle of caring for others.
