The CNSA Convention 2009 (10/17) and AIDS Walk LA (10/18) were great successes! Photos are up, too!

Officer elections are on October 26, 2009! Check out the officers section to see which positions are open, and be prepared to say a quick speech about why you would like the position. E-mail our club president Anna (aviet@uci.edu) for more information.

There is a Gina's Fundraiser on October 26 ALL DAY! Please mention to the cashier that you are supporting the UCI nursing club, NSSA. However, we will be heading on to Gina's after the meeting to socialize, so please come join us to get to know your fellow NSSA members!!

First of all, I want to apologize to anyone who has been unsubscribed from the Nursing Students Mailing List! If you have been unsubscribed and would like to be added to our mailing list, PLEASE e-mail me at platonc@uci.edu or click here to subscribe on your own.

Second meeting was a great turnout!! I will post the meeting agenda soon. Also, please contact our club president Anna for details on attending the CNSA Annual Convention on Oct. 16-17 in Sacramento, CA with us (at NO charge)! Walk with us this Sunday, Oct. 18, at the 25th Annual AIDS Walk LA! More information in the Events page (check out our new events!).

Soon I will add the volunteer app forms for the UCI Medical Center, so stay tuned!

Fashion for Lupus photos up on the photo album! Check them out today! A few announcements:

Register for AIDS WALK LA! Our NSSA VP Eddie has registered the NSSA as a team. As you register, join the "UCI Nursing Students - 1809" team to walk with us! The walk is 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in beautiful West Hollywood! Have fun, stay fit, and fundraise for HIV programs in the largest AIDS fundraising event in California!

Also, our 2nd general meeting is going to be special! Learn about local volunteer opportunities in the UCI Medical Center and other locations. We'll also discuss our exciting upcoming events!
