On Track @ UCI, in affiliation with America On Track, the award-winning nonprofit organization, was created to recruit mentors for the Mentoring Children of Prisoners (MCP) program, promote secondary education, and bring together UCI students to provide various extracurricular activities to help reduce gang involvement and drug use. On Track @ UCI is also partnering with On Track to design a yearly camp at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) campus so children from underserved areas can experience a college setting with an emphasis on the importance of secondary education and the joy of learning. Our goal is to strengthen the ability and determination of our mentees to realize the importance of higher education, help them establish college as part of their future goals and provide them with a real-life college experience.

Children of prisoners are 7 times more likely to become involved in criminal activity or become incarcerated themselves. Please join us in our efforts to provide extra love, guidance and support so that these children can reach their full potential and become responsible citizens in our communities.
