o Haven’t decided yet, could switch to preventive medicine and wellness

o Worked with cardiovascular patients that had failed their other drug regiments and ended up being referred to UCI

· What did you do in Abbot?

o Worked to design studies for neuroscience field in the company. Did data mining and compared results of the drug to the patients. Found a drug that also reduced cholesterol and earned the company an extra 9 million dollars. Industry is all about money and profit.

· What made you transition to alternative medicine?

o The health field will be a disaster in the future. There is way too much money being spent on drug discovery instead of prevention and wellness. Our health system should include alternative medicine. There are times when drugs are necessary, but a lot are preventable.

· If any of us want to go into academia, what do we have to do?

o Need PharmD, Residency, and possibly Fellowship, but definitely networking with others.
