Who We Are

A social/support campus organization based on student leadership and team building, Pre-Pharmacy Society (PPS) at UC Irvine is dedicated to providing a social environment in which it encourages students interested in Pharmacy to thrive as competitive applicants and as student leaders. We offer the tools necessary to approach the field with confidence through presented information (e.g. general insight, academia requirements, healthcare industry, etc.) and possible hands-on experience (e.g. volunteer, internship, jobs, etc.). With the use of guest speakers, field trips, community service and networking opportunities, PPS at UCI engages the aptitude of students, and helps them to decide whether or not to pursue the field of Pharmacy.

“Vision without action is a dream.
Action without vision is simply passing the time.
Action with vision is making a positive difference.”
-J. Barker

Now, it starts with You.

Join Pre-Pharmacy Society (PPS) at UCI where leaders are made, and where knowledge and interconnectedness are the bases of our foundation.

I chose pharmacy because I wanted to work in the field of medicine, but did not want to spend all my time in a lab. Besides school, I am a very easy going and approachable person. I also LOVE sushi!

  • I joined PPS my first Fall quarter at UCI and began to get active at the start of the Winter quarter in becoming a Freshman Class representative and a member of the Spring Spirit Week committee. I am currently working at Natico Pharmacy II, a closed-door pharmacy (if you guys want to know more about it, don’t hesitate to ask) and volunteering at Popular Pharmacy, a privately owned pharmacy that is attached to a small clinic. Although I grew up within a small Catholic Vietnamese community in Michigan, I became Koreanized shortly after moving to Irvine; KPOP and KDramas are my life! :D

  • In addition to my Pharm Sci. major, I am also working on my Management Minor. I am also on board for the pre-health national honor society known as AED. I am a big tennis fan and an avid poker player. I enjoy going to dance competition and I like making new friends and taking long walks on the beach (haha jk). I love college and the people I have met in the last 4 years of my life. I am especially fortunate enough to have met the amazing people in PPS during my senior year. I believe PPS has great potential and helping dedicated individuals reach their goals of becoming a pharmacist. With this in mind, I wanted to make a difference with all the leadership experience that I have gained. I look forward to helping this club grow with this year’s awesome board members and making memorable memories and  moments for all the new and old members of the club.
