Andrei KRYLOV is a professional guitarist and a composer.
He graduated from a Music College in St. Petersburg and

His guitar repertoire includes Classical, Flamenco, Jazz and more.
He also composes and performs songs to verses of classical poets.

Vadim EGOROV is one of bright bards who appeared on the stage
in the 1960s.

Alexandr DULOV is one of Russian bards of the "first generation".
For about half-century, he has composed and performed wonderful songs,
many of them - to verses of classical and best contemporary poets.
Also, being a montain hiker, he wrote many songs on camping theme.
Some of his songs are now often regarded as folk songs.
Dulov's singing and guitar playing is artistic and masterful,
but his live performance is much more impressive than best recordings,
due to his expressive face and body language.
At his concert in Irvine two years ago, our public was just thrilled
and did not want the performance to end.

Evgenia Reizer is a poet who also composes and performs songs.
In her lyrics, one can feel the bare nerve of a person striving to comprehend
the complex world around us, while the music in her songs serves as a means
to better convey the emotional subtext of the verses.
E. Reizers's poems have been published in many Russian literary almanacs
in the USA and Russia and on the major Russian poetry web-site www.stihi.ru
(under her other name, Evgenia Dinevich).
She has performed solo concerts in many major cities on both coasts in the US
and also in Moscow last Summer, and published two disks of her songs.

Vladimir Schukin composed a large number of humorous songs to the verses
of S. Marshak, D. Harms, M. Yasnov, S. Kozlov, and other wonderful poets.
These songs are interesting to children of all ages, as well as to adults.
Many of these funny poems about animal personalities carry deep wisdom,
and Schukin's melodies and arrangements are very rich, ranging from
Russian, European, and African themes to blues, rock-n-roll, and latin styles.
In 1980-1990, V. Schukin with a band "Last Chance" was performing his
songs
in the foyer of the cinema theater "Rossia" in Moscow to the great
enjoiment of
children and adults alike, and then recorded on disk "Kisunya and Krysunya".

Later, Schukin founded another band, "Po Schuch'emu Veleniyu" and
recorded

This evening of Yuriy Vizbor's memory and songs is devoted to his 70th
anniversary.
It will be lead by poet Ilya Lapirov, member of Writers Union of Russia,
Vizbor's friend
and college classmate, who will share his memories about Yuriy Vizbor.
Songs of Yu. Vizbor will be performed by a number of bards of Southern
California.
The evening will continue with open-mike [gitara po krugu] song
performance
by S. California bards.

Svetlana VETROVA composes songs to verses of many wonderful poets
and also performs songs of other bards that are close to her own lyrical
and philosophical style. She is a laureate of many bard-song festivals.
A special part of Svetlana’s creative work is writing and performing songs
for children. She has given many charitable concerts at orphanages and
children’s hospitals. Besides, she regularly conducts singing lessons
with groups of pre-school children.
Children’s songs by S. Vetrova are interesting for adults as well,
due to their simple and deep wisdom combined with lyrical music
and fine performance.

Grigoriy GLADKOV is well known for music and songs that he
composed
and performed for numerous cartoon films and TV programs for children,
as well as humorous songs for general audience.
He also composed many "serious" songs, in particular, to the verses of
Alexander Kushner, whose poetry evening was recently held at UC Irvine.
G. Gladkov studied guitar performance and music theory at a
Music College
and show directing at the University of Culture in St. Petersburg.
He has performed his songs all over Russia, including major bard-song festivals,
and for Russian audiences around the world.
