Noche de Ciencias is one of SHPE at UCI’s biggest, annual events held at Century High School in Santa Ana, CA. The event attracts over 100 K-12 students in the Santa Ana Unified School District along with parents, undergraduates, and companies. SHPE engages the Hispanic community in a relaxed environment where students and parents can have fun with science and engineering. The purpose is to promote college awareness through informative, bilingual workshops so that parents can learn about valuable resources. For the students, various science experiments are setup and led by undergraduates for them to participate in so that they can find inspiration in pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math.
