Hello! My name is Mahek – yes, like “what the heck”. I am currently a third year mechanical engineering major who loves working on any project that sound cool especially involving lasers! I love food – trying new foods, making new foods, and making sandwiches – traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting everyone and adding many exciting additions to our organization at UCI this upcoming year!

Hello!!! My name is Loren Grace Kinoshita (yes I have two first names) and I am a fourth year mechanical engineering major! I have wanted to be an engineer ever since I was nine and saw the movie Transformers, the giant robot aliens that transform into cars 🙂 I hope to build new and intricate cars that will implement robotics and will help people with rare disabilities. During my free time I like to go to Disneyland and have movie marathons and my favorite activity is to laugh. I am excited to be a co-finance chair this year and have great plans to help and support SWE financially so that we have a fun, exciting, and tremendous club.

Hi! My name is Issy, I’m a 4th year Biomedical Engineering major and Political Science minor. My dream job would be to work on detection/treatment devices for diseases in 3rd world countries. My hobbies are knitting, painting, baking, and basically anything a hip grandma would be into. This is my second year on the SWE board and I am so grateful for all of the amazing opportunities I’ve received from this club and the amazing people I’ve met!

Hello! My name is A.Lili Castillo, and I am a second year Mechanical Engineering major. After touring the facilities of a company in my hometown that worked with the development of artificial spines, which spiked an interest in potentially pursuing a minor in Biomedical Engineering. Outside of school I like to sing, find cute little places to eat with friends and eating my favorite meal, California Burritos. I look forward to the events for the upcoming school year and getting the chance to meet new people.

Hi there! My name is Sara Lippert and I am a third year Environmental Science & Policy major with my interests being toxic chemicals and water pollution. Outside of SWE I am the CO-Vice President of the Club Volleyball team at UCI and am a member of the Club Sport Executive Board. I love playing both indoor and beach volleyball as well as reading, camping, and hammocking. I can’t wait to see what we as a club will make happen this year!
