Can I join SWE-UCI Without Becoming a SWE National Member?

Yes, you can. You are welcome to be part of our SWE-UCI family. However, we highly recommend you to register as a national member for full benefits. Click here to learn more!

How?

 There are different levels of SWE at UCI membership that can perfectly fit your needs! These include free, paid and active! Read below to find out more about each one!

Free: Paid membership requires only two easy steps: that you subscribe to our newsletter and join our discord. The links to both of these resources are in our Instagram Bio (@swe.uci). The benefits include

      – access to general member resources

      – NOTE: paid membership is not required to be considered a SWE at UCI member or to attend our events!

Paid: Paid membership requires that you meet the free membership requirements as well as fill out our paid member form in our bio and paying the $20 membership fee. The benefits include

      – Membership for the entire 2022-2023 academic year

      – Access to the mentorship program

      – Discount to Industry Networking Night

      – 15% discount on all SWE at UCI merchandise

      – And a free sticker 

Active: Active membership is earned when a member attends at least one social, academic, and corporate/professional development event in one quarter. These members will receive a sticker at the end of that quarter. As you attend events through the entire academic year, each event attended will count towards 1 entry to our End-of-the-year Raffle! The more events you attend, the more entries you will receive! At our Spring Banquet, we will draw and announce the winner of our prize!
