Week 2 Announcements - Jan 15 2007
Hi everyone,
- Website: The website is finally up! It works with all browsers (IE and
Firefox). We will be updating stuff there, so you guys don't have to get
this annoying emails. We will be sending out emails for only the
important informations. We will fully switch to the website starting
next week. Much thanks to Ehsan for putting the whole thing together.
- Tuesday: TRYOUTS. Since the weather prevented us from having a normal
tryout on last Thursday, we will be having tryouts TOMORROW (remember,
today is Monday). 7:30 to 10:00 pm at the Tennis courts at the ARC, like
always. Unless you have a medical condition and/or class, everyone who
wants to play competitively should show up.
- Thursday: 'open' practice. This is a practice solely devoted for
non-competitive members. We will have a court of drills and rest will be
for open hitting.
- Competitive team: Once the tryouts are over, we will be having weekend
practices. It will probably be on Saturday. Attendance won't be
mandatory for every single one, but some number of times will be required.
That should be all for week 2. Email me any questions, and see you out
on the courts. FYI: Here's the forecast for Irvine.

Week 1 Announcements - Jan 8 2007
- First of all, happy new year!
- Facebook: We have Tennis Club Group on Facebook for those who like to
check Facebook. It's http://uci.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2200414326
I will be updating the Group with the same info as the email and more
future stuff. There are pictures too! Yay!
- Jan 13th: University of La Verne will be hosting a Southern California
Tennis on Campus Event (like the Biola one) on Saturday January 13th.
So, REPLY TO THIS EMAIL LATEST BY MONDAY NIGHT if you are up for going.
So far, we have Eunsuk, E.R., and Marc confirmed.
- Week 1: We had tryouts last quarter, but due to poor planning on my
part, I had it during the midterm weeks. So, to try to make up for that,
we will be holding tryouts + competitive team practice EXCLUSIVELY on
Tuesday AND Thursday. That means that people who are going to the La
Verne event and want to be in the team need to be there. (No regular
practice next week)
