Jocelyn Bell Burnell, the discoverer of pulsars who was omitted from the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery, is WiPA’s woman of the month. She has now won the Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, which comes with $3 million. What’s more? She’s going to put it towards helping women and underrepresented minorities in the field. A true hero!
